Monaco Honored in
the 2007 Preservation Merit Awards Ceremony by the Historic Albany Foundation
On the behalf of
Historic Albany Foundation's Board of Directors, I
am pleased to announce that Governor Alfred E. Smith
State Office Building has been selected to receive a
2007 Preservation Merit Award. Also,
we are pleased to announce that the Capitol's Great
Western Staircase has been selected to receive a
2007 Preservation Initiative Certificate. As
part of our on-going effort to promote Albany's
unique architectural legacy, Historic Albany
Foundation fives annual awards for projects,
individuals or groups that demonstrate excellence
and a commitment to preserving Albany's
architectural heritage.
Your projects, along
with others, are an indication of the number and
quality of preservation projects that have and
continue to take place in Albany. These projects
serve as inspiration for others to embrace the
preservation of Albany's historic resources.
The Preservation Merit
Awards takes place in conjunction with our annual
meeting on Wednesday, May, 9, 2007 at 126 State
Street, the former Municipal Gas Company Building.
Please bring a guest and those who were involved in
your projects to join us in honoring your projects,
Governor Alfred E. Smith State Office Building and
Capitol's Great Western Staircase. |
