Monaco Restores
Orange, MA Town
Hall Entrance
Monaco Restorations
recently completed the restoration of the Town Hall
front entrance for the Town of Orange,
Massachusetts. The work focused on the replication
of various terra cotta cornice units, brackets and
trim molds at the entrance of the building. The
technical details included removing the damaged
terra cotta, replicating various terra cotta pieces
with rubber molds and building duplicates with GFRC
for installation. “It looks great!” stated Arthur
MacLeod, principal of MacLeod Consulting who was the
architect representing the Town. “Monaco
Restorations did a good job on this project from
many aspects including having the replacement pieces
installed with the look and feel of the original
terra cotta pieces. The Town wanted to make sure
that the work fit in well with the existing historic
fabric and we accomplished that goal.”
Richard Kwiatkowski,
Town Manager indicated that, “Monaco Restorations is
both a professional and talented crew of craftsman.
An excellent job that the people of Orange
appreciated.” Kwiatkowski went on to say that the
Monaco Restorations brought the job in on time and
under budget! That is a rarity these days.” |
